Tsukuba

Hi friends! How’s your Ramadan going?
I hope it feels better and more meaningful day by day, yeaaah 🥰

So, today’s blog is going to be about Tsukuba.
Why Tsukuba? As you may know, I’ve always dreamed of studying at the University of Tsukuba.
But, have you ever heard of what Tsukuba actually is?

Tsukuba

Tsukuba is a city located in Ibaraki Prefecture, Japan. It is known as the location of the Tsukuba Science City, a planned science park developed in the 1960s. It has some local attractions like museums, shrines, and the famous one, Mount Tsukuba. click here for more information

And by the way, there are some higher education in this city ; Tsukuba Gijutsu Daigaku, Graduate University for Advanced Studies, Tsukuba Gakuin University, and the one that is really famous and became my dream university; University of Tsukuba.

University of Tsukuba

The University of Tsukuba is a university, located in Tsukuba, and it is one of the famous universities in Japan. it was established in October 1973. A forerunner was Tokyo University of Education which was founded in 1872. It was one of the oldest universities in Japan. For more information, you can read the wikipedia here

So, Why do I really want to study there?

Tsukuba was known as the science city of Japan. As I mentioned before in the other blog, I want to learn geosciences for my higher education. So I need a university or a place that has expertise on science. And Tsukuba already has expertise on it. Also, it is one of the top universities in Japan and rank about 200 in the world (some of them said 100 to 200). It means this university is already good in all aspects, whether its education system, the facilities, the student and alumni, and more. So it helps me to learn geosciences deeply and go to the top 10 world universities for the grad school.

Start questioning...

Q : Why don't I go to the top 10 world universities?

A: The world's top universities are usually located in the UK or the US, right? or maybe there are some in Europe. And we all already know that the UK, the US, and some countries in Europe have expensive living cost and their fully funded scholarships for undergraduate degrees are very limited (and maybe do not exist). And the other reason is, the UK, the US, and Europe are really far from Indonesia. So, I must pay an expensive transportation ticket if I want to go back to Indonesia. So, yeah... basically, it is caused by economic reasons :) While Japan, it is close to Indonesia, which doesn't have expensive living costs, and it also has a really good education & world rank university.

Q : Why not Singapore? they have some top universities in Asia, and really close too. The technology and education are really good, so.. why?

A : back to the first, it is caused the expensive living cost. Even you already get the fully funded scholarship, sometimes it is still  not enough. And I want to study geosciences, and Singapore is just a small country. So, the geomorphology is limited. If we don't have the object that we will learn near us, how can we learn? It will be hard right? It is not only about geomorphology. It also about the ocean, climate, and the weather. Singapore has the same season as Indonesia. So, I already know the season really well. I need a country that has the different climate and weather with Indonesia. For what? Off course for study and reaserch.

So for that long reasons, I think Japan is the best country for me, and University of Tsukuba is the best choice. Actually maybe there are more than these 2 questions that you are curious about. Just tell me what it is, and I will answer for you Insyaa Allah. If you ask me, it will really help me to know me better and help my preparation to go to the university (you know, it something like essay and interview).

thanks a lot for you that have read this blog till the end. See you in the next blog! Assalamu'alaikum
