Summary :
Scholarship is really important if you want to study in a university that has expensive tuition fee (usually for university abroad). There are a lot of type and foundation that gives scholarship, but usually the requirements are similar. So, before you apply to a scholarship, you must know :
a. What major do you interest?
Scholarship is used to cover your tuition fee or your living cost when you are studying in a university or school. So, you must know what major do you interest, and why. Usually the scholarship provider will ask you this question to know how can they help you, and are you really need this scholarship or not.
b. What country and what university that has expertise in your major?
If you are applying MEXT scholarship, it means you will study in Japan. Why did you choose Japan? and what university will you take, and why? Remember, choose them because of their expertise. For the example, Japan are in the ring of fire that often get earthquakes, and their countermeasures are really nice and quick. So that you can study geophysics or maybe geology in Japan, to knowing how they respond to earthquakes and you can apply it to your country when you back home.
c. How does it relate to your future?
You want to study Geology in Japan.  You already know the reason why you choose geology and why Japan. So the next step is to knowing the relation of geology and your future. Maybe in the future you want to be the head of BMKG (Badan Meteorologi, Klimatologi, dan Geofisika/Indonesia's Meteorology, Climatology, and Geophysics Agency), or maybe in the future you want to be a part of IUGG (The International Union of Geodessy and Geophysics), or other reason. The important thing is knowing what willl you do in the future with your knowledge.

If you already know your strong reason to study at your dreams university, the next step is to know the tips and tricks to get scholarship.
a. Say yes to all opportunities offered to you
If your friends ask you to join an organization, a competition, a social activities, and others, just say "yes!". Join positive activities as much as you can. The sertificate will really helps you when you applying scholarship. It is not only about physical activities, you can accept all opportunites around you. For the example, I made this blog to get an experience so that I can tell it to the scholarship provider that I have a blog that talk about education and daily life. It will be a plus score for me when I am applying.
b. Create a good experiences that relate to your future major
For the example, I want to study in atmosphere and hydrosphere major, University of Tsukuba. So I attend a lot of earth science webinars, join a lot of earth science competition, and write a blog about earth science. For another example, I want to study in Osaka University, in human sciences major. So I attend a lot of webinars and activites that suite for this major, be a part of social organization, founding a mini public library (it still on precess but it will be, insyaa Allah), and write a blog about educational system, children, and other topics that relate to human sciences.
c. Join social organization and actively doing positive things
Life is not only about studying and competition, it is about social. How far have we help each other, have we gave a positive impact to our surroundings, how far we know the situation around us, and other social things. So, let's be a part of our world.
d. Prepare all requirement long before the deadline
My personal suggestion, is to know the requirements a year or more before you applying. For the example, I will apply to university about two years later, but I have read all of the requirements for this year. Of course maybe each year has some diffrences, but I think it will be a bit similar year by year. And for applying,  If you will apply in December, be sure you have collect all the requirements at least a month before the deadline. Be sure you have take an IELTS/TOEFL/ any other test (if needed) long before the deadline because you need some times to wait the result.
e. Get a lot of information
In this era, we can survive in the internet for free! you can use it to search out your question. And my suggestion is, go to each university website, and got a lot of informations there. And if you already know other people that has been a student in your dream university, feel free to ask them. And don't forget to join other seminars or webinars that talk about your dream country, dream scholarship, dream university, and others.

That's all my summary of the webinar. I hope it can helps you, and I hope you can get your dream univeristy. Keep spirit! I know we can get it, we can do it!
